Mũi Né_part 3_or "do they wash Buddha?" (8)

Hello again, my dear readers!

In Mũi Né it is easy to rent a motorbike, all you need to do is just walk down a street in any direction and voilà you can have a nice motorbike for 150 000 VND for 24 hours.

One hour by motorbike and we are there - at the foot of the Tà Cú mountain.

Karina is still trying to attract me:

The fastest way to the top is by cable car - the ride in the glass box is worth its money:

On the top there is a pagoda (Buddhist temple):

All those steps...

And at the very top - statue of reclining Buddha, 49 m long and 11 m high. All the materials and instruments were brought there (the mountain is 700 m) by monks and there was no cable car then...

Answering the question in the title - no, they do not wash the statue but they do paint him twice a year.

"Downstairs" K's childhood wish was fulfilled - she dived into a pool of colourful balls.

Stay tuned to learn first about crazy 400 km motorbike ride and even crazier house!
