New Blog Or Bye Bye Artyom

Hello, my hedgehog friends.

I am writing to tell you about the changes.
As you may have noticed I am quite lazy. My posts are quite infrequent and uninformative. That is why I am leaving my blog and giving it to my friends - Karina and Sasha. They continue to live with me, travel with me, drink and eat wit me.

PS I will appear in their photos from time to time. Bye!

The blog will be there from now on https://medium.com/@alexkarina

Nha Trang_part 3_or "salt, anyone?" (12)

Hello there, my hedgehog friends!

Today I will be telling you about salt fields near Nha Trang. Their working principle is quite simple: sea water is directed into fields and left for ten days to evaporate. Salt is then removed and left to dry before harvesting.

And that is it :) There isn't much to tell about them.

But we did found a nice hill to take pictures from.

To get more spiritual, we visited  Po Nagar temple and Long Son Pagoda.
Po Nagar temple was founded sometime before 781:

Long Sơn Pagoda is way newer, the current version of it was constructed in 1900:

Nha Trang_part 2_or "planet of the Apes?" (11)

Hello there!

We needed to buy stuff so we went around town, looking for the authentic shopping places. There are two major markets in Nha Trang. First one is Dam Market (mostly for tourists) and another is Xóm Mới (popular among locals).
Below you will see photos from Xóm Mới:

Here are some shots of the city:

Just the usual pet:

Inspired by this fellow we decided to visit the Monkey Island. It is a short ride away from the city. And for 120 000 VND they will take you from the pier to the place:

The most important thing to remember is: beware of the monkeys! They can be pretty devious if they notice you have something tasty. One of them scratched K's finger in order to get the apple in her hand.

Here is the video of Karina, feeding the little beasts off her hat:

Anyway, hungry monkeys were not enough of a challenge for us. We made our way towards the Ba Ho waterfalls.
There are 3 levels of Ba Ho waterfalls - from the first, the easiest one to hardcore third level. And of course I had to see it all, so I made my humans go all the way up.  It was quite hard even to watch them do it...

Karina was whimpering quietly all the way back, it was quite hard not fall in the gurgling, gushing water...
